Wake up to the sound of the ocean each morning and stunning sunrises as both Banteng Camps are situated on the ocean creating stunning views and a tranquil coastal atmosphere.
A mature banteng although as tall as a buffalo is a few hundred kilos lighter. There slender more lean frame coupled with their distinctive white socks and white backside give them their unique and ruggedly handsome look. Hunting Banteng on the floodplains or in the dry swamps is like hunting no other Bovine species in the world. One does not death march on tracks all day looking for buffalo to hunt and stalk but rather a deer like hunting approach must be taken. This is due to the species having more spooky and deer like behaviour than its bovine family. A slow walk, stop and glass repeated approach must be taken whilst stalking the paperbark swamps in order to spot the Banteng well and truly before they spot you. A blown stalk is usually heard before the Banteng is seen as the bull lets go of a whoosh of hot air from the bottom of his lungs whilst dashing away at the speed of lighting leaving only his distinctive white rear end to be viewed. Perhaps however it is the scenery of where the Banteng are hunted that leaves the hunter in awe! Step outside the tree line of the swamps you are hunting and you are standing on the white sand adjoining the turquoise blue water a truly magnificent site.
